Rita J. King

Rita J. King: Founder

The complexity of modern knowledge work is overwhelming. It needs to be distilled into simpler steps or we run the risk of automating ourselves. I created Power Pairs™ to help individuals and teams stay true to themselves while being flexible in navigating professional goals.

I've worked across countries, cultures, companies and organizations around the world. I’ve been an investigative journalist. I’ve written private stories for intimate use in families so they can understand each other on a deeper level. I’ve advised Fortune 100 CEOs and CIOs about the development and delivery of products and services we all use every day. I listen without judgment and translate my clients’ deepest anxieties and dreams into “business-safe language,” to help make them real.

Power Pairs™ is the simplest and most powerful version of the work I’ve been doing for the past 15 years.

I am a strategic advisor across industries, helping senior executives turn strategy into execution. I believe in taking small, meaningful steps that inspire people to be the best version of themselves. I mean this literally. I walk at least 10,000 steps every day -- over 3,650,000 steps a year. Taking one step at a time is how I solve problems and clear my head.

The chaos of the world isn’t going to let up anytime soon. But neither is the possibility of getting where we want to be, step by step.

Speaking

I’ve given many talks and keynotes for leadership teams including for Amazon, 3M, GE, FedEx, New York Life. One of my talks, on the topic of AI as applied imagination, was featured in Buzzfeed News, People Magazine and Good Morning America.

I study social behavior in crows and NPR did a feature about it.
